The Irish Made Summit's Pitch Perfect winners

Handcrafted furniture company Elements of Action are the winners of the €10,000 Pitch Perfect Prize at the Irish Made Summit

  • Elements of Action

Fending off intense competition and questions from our judging panel, the winners of the Pitch Perfect session at the Irish Made Summit are Elements of Action, run by Esther Gerrard and Ed Coveney. The prize includes an advertising package with Irish Country Magazine and a WebPort Global package from Bank of Ireland, to help take their business international. The judging panel of Eddie Shanahan, Emma Kelly of Elevate PR, Michelle Goodwin of Bank of Ireland and Brian McGee of the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland, chose Elements of Action as the winner because of the potential for the brand to be an international success with interior designers and homeowners looking for luxury, bespoke pieces. Of their win, Esther said, "thank you to everyone from Irish Country Magazine and Bank of Ireland's Irish Made Summit, we are so delighted to have won the Perfect Pitch session, it will be instrumental in our next steps this year."

Esther and Ed create handmade high end homewares, bringing together sculpture and functionality. The product range includes mirrors, plant stands, coffee tables and console tables and a retail gift range in marble, brass, mirror or local wood. Esther is a project manager and landscape architect and Ed is a stonemason who designs and makes each piece of the collection. The handcrafted furniture celebrates the simplicity of two elements, natural local materials of wood with stone or metals.
