Netflix is releasing a number of binge worthy TV series, super shows and exciting movies just in time for the festive season, here are our top five

You will be spoilt for choice over the festive holidays as Netflix raises the bar once more with their selection of TV series, shows and films. Throughout the month of December they will be releasing a number of great watches. The only issue, you may want to cuddle up on the sofa and have a night in, every night of the holidays!

Dancer Amalie lives a lavish lifestyle, she wants to become a professional performer and this is her only concern in life until her father becomes bankrupt and the life she once knew is taken from them. Forced to move out of their home, Amalie discovers what it is like to live a life of poverty. Feeling down and out, she focuses on her dancing and retreats to a youth centre to practice where she falls into the company of hip-hop dancer Mikael. As their friendship blossoms, Amalie realises that money isn’t everything. Out 1 December

If you were a fan of the fabulous Great British Bake Off, you will love this collection of masterclasses. Mary and Paul will be presenting short and sweet guides to help you achieve baking success in your own home kitchen, and you can be sure that there will be plenty of laughs throughout. One of the favourite's from season four was Paul's guide on how to plait a cherry and chocolate loaf, and there is no better time to practice your baking than at Christmas, prepare to be inspired! Derry Girls

Lisa McGee is creator and writer of Northern Irish sitcom Derry Girls which has become a massive hit in Ireland and beyond. If you missed the first series of this hilarious laugh out loud production which is set in Derry City during the Troubles, you are in for a real treat this Christmas. You can catch up with Erin, Clare, Orla, Michelle and James, and all the other memorable characters before season two hits our screens. Be warned though you will want to watch the whole season in one go! Out 21 December

Springsteen on Broadway

Get up close and personal with the one and only Bruce Springsteen. Springsteen on Broadway has received critical acclaim, New York Times said “there may never have been anything as real and beautiful on Broadway.” Springsteen wears his heart on his sleeve during this performance as he recalls his childhood days and his admiration for his father and the amazing character of his mother, while also performing his renowned hits such as Tougher Than the Rest with his wife Patti Scialfa.This global debut is a must watch for Springsteen fans, and if you don’t consider yourself a fan of the Dancing in the Dark singer, you will be by the end of this intimate show.
