Kilkenny woman takes Most Stylish Lady prize

A Kilkenny native took the top prize of Most Stylish Lady at the Darley Irish Oaks at The Curragh Racecourse on Saturday. Kate Conlon from Thomastown scooped the coveted prize which saw her win a champagne appointment at the Boodles Grafton Street store and a voucher for €5,000 to spend in Boodles. Kate will also enjoy a relaxing weekend stay at The Westbury Hotel.

Kate’s wining look consisted of an olive dress with white trimming from Galway boutique Harper, red accessories, and a beautiful red rose-adorned hat by Philip Treacy. The four runners up each received a goodie bag filled with treats from Boodles and

Judges on the day were Irish Country Magazine Editor, Jennifer Stevens, Sybil Mulcahy, Editor of, as well as James Amos, Marketing Director of Boodles.

After being announced as the winner Kate Conlon said; “I really can’t believe I won and I’m thrilled, this is an unbelievably generous prize, I am really looking forward to planning a day out shopping in Boodles and a trip to The Westbury. It was a total shock to win today as there was stiff competition here at The Curragh so this has really made my day”.
