The Tweed Project
The Tweed Project create handmade pieces that combine beautiful Irish tweeds and linens with modern tailoring for a truly authentic expression of Irish design. The team behind The Tweed Project, Triona and Aoibheann, are both passionate about Irish fabrics, but they noticed that despite producing highly sought after tweed and linen, no one in Ireland seemed to be using them to suit a modern sensibility. In other words they were looking for pieces that they would like to wear.
Ail & El
Ail+El is an Irish homeware brand based in Dublin, creating concrete homeware products with geometric patterns in bold colours, inspired by the graffiti in the city. Founded in 2014 by childhood friends Aileen Balfe and Eleanor McCaughey, each Ail+El piece is hand cast in concrete by Aileen in her workshop in Dublin and individually finished with unique patterns.
Ansley
Ansley watches are made in the Irish speaking town of Rath Cairn, Co Meath by Irish and Swedish watchmakers Arthur and Eda Smith. Ansley watches are unisex with an air of timeless elegance, and a simple and modern twist for everyday wear with changeable straps you can update each season.
Brookwood
Brookwood Pottery was set up in 2012 by Elaine Fallon, a ceramicist who trained with the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland in Thomastown, Co Kilkenny. Elaine produces small batches of handthrown work including large bowls, mugs and other tableware onto which she paints and draws her original designs. She recently opened her own studio in Dublin.
Candella
Husband and wife team Gosia and Marcin handcraft scented candles in Kildare. The gorgeous candles are made from upcycled wine bottles and the highest quality pure soya wax and skin safe fragrances blended with essential oils.
Mullan Lighting
Design Director Mike Treanor is an architect by trade and has a keen eye for stunning design. Mullan Lighting is based in Co Tyrone and was established in 2008 in the premises of an abandoned shoe factory. Now the business exports to all corners of the globe.
Burren Perfumery
The Burren Perfumery was founded in 1972 by Sarah Chowen and her husband Ralph. Now employing 20 staff, the business creates organic creams, balms and scents in small batches.
