From Kerry to Fermanagh, there are beautiful lakes to be found and nothing says mindfulness quite like still waters. It is well worth considering on of these places to stay for your next mini-break.

The Lake Hotel Killarney

This family owned hotel is on the lake shore of Killarney’s lower lake Lough Lein, nestled between mountains and woodlands. The outdoor hot tub faces the lake and views of the 12 century castle ruins on the grounds.


Delphi Lodge

Located in the unspoilt beauty of Connemara, Delphi Lodge is a Georgian country house on a 100 acre estate overlooking the lakes and rivers of the Delphi valley. An excellent spot for salmon and seatrout fishing in the Delphi system of Doolough, Finlough, Bundorragha River and Glencullen.


Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel and Lodges

With beautiful views of Lough Erne, this four star retreat in Fermanagh is stunning. Take a guided boat tour of the Fermanagh Lakelands on a waterbus from the town, try angling on Lough Erne or Lough Melvin or bring the family or pals to try the adventure park at the nearby Corralea Activity Centre on Lough Macnean.


Pops Dream Lough Derg

This little cabin for two on the banks of Lough Derg is a renovated boathouse, now fully furbished with a kitchen, bathroom and cosy living room. There’s a woodburning stove to keep the place warm and if the sun shines you can fire up the BBQ in the garden.
